07S2 POO CCA

This semester I only teaches 2 classes of the Safety tutorial groups. As usual I announced to them about the no attendance taking / no marks given / non exam related POO CCA during the 2nd last Lab.

Good to see B2 is rather sporting and about 12 turn up for the exercise. Student C, who is my all time worst memory student, is the only 1 turn up for B1 (I think she must have got the dates mixed up actually).

Many of the rest are simply too concerned about the coming term tests on the Fridays and would rather concentrate on the acadamic performance effort.

DT PY was asked to join in as well, as she also missed it in her last year study. (She said she was on MC). She can easily double up as our photographer and assistant during that session too.

I think we had a good work out...giggles and laughters from RnD.


It's always good to see students who are more willing to learn life skills. There are so many little things we do not have time to impart during the lecture and this CCA is so fun, simple yet powerful to bring across some very important message in trems of working / learning attitude.

I do hope they find that the 45 mins spent on the 4 Ball juggling CCA is worth the time. And very surprisingly, they are actually the 1st group that applies what they have leart straight away into real life.

"THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY TO TAKE GROUP PICTURES!!!!"

So we end up walking a short distance across to the Eco-garden for a much better shot. And I will always remember this picture. Hope they will continue to apply what they have learnt that day.
