DND 2007 Oh What A Night

Long long time never sleep at 4.30am liao...Saturday night fever is a past thing since start of working life. This year DND ended at 12 am and chatting / singing away till 3am+. They are still going strong but I really must rush home to finish my part of the housework.

Pictures are still floating around and suppose to come to me for compilation...so I will just show u afew of what inside the school drive so far...
Theme of the evening is Black n White. When taking pictures...later you will notice...is mainly black n white also. Everybody grabbing balloons as decorations and to add colours abit...

16 lecturers/TSO turn up for the evening...double of last year. All received awards. No price for guess who wins the "Most Material Science Award" , "Santa Claus Award" , “Most student-like Award", Mr Quek received 2 : The "Best Lecturer award" and the "Most SUANing Award". Oh...the MC forgot to mention S.U.A.N. means Sometimes U Are Nice.

Sankar received the "For Your Own Good" award.

One of them won the Shortest skirt contest. Do u know who?

The 3 brave (or reluctant?) girls who got sent up the stage for the Tie Me Up Contest.

New names are given on the spot, like watermelon girl and Cinderella,

During tea break today we are still discussing this...Haiz ...what happen to all the youngsters nowadays...?? Howcome all dun have arm pit hairs???

Allen was dripping with saliva all over in the last segment of Best dress female. Christof still remember to take this nicely timed pict, I was too busy laughing...the best part is...Allen was blindfolded and did get to see any of the hot actions!!

Last but not least...the Du Jia picture...the signed apron from some appreciative students. Thanks you for the memories.

G. T. O.

This is a snap shot of what last year graduation day powerpoint presentation on the screen, taken during the DND last year, showed to the parents / guests while waiting for the whole ceremony to start...

Noticed I was coined with the term G. T. O. ...wonder why they relate me to that term ... most likely due to my abnormality I guess.
My surname is Goh so for a while i was not 100% convinced it is a very fitting description. I do apprecaite the goodwill behind and I take that as a compliment. Maybe at the time of rush there seems not to be the best description on the DTs' mind.
However, I am now convinced that this term fits me very very nicely already. I have managed to find a new explaination to the term GTO. I am the only person which fit the new description nicely in the department.
Challenge for you now is to guess the new explaination of G.T.O....what does it stands for??
1st person who guess right...1 box of choc gaain...ahhaah. And i really hope it's not the 1st comment who hit the jackpot again....Will announce the answer next Mon. Good luck.

Macau Macau!!!

It was a wonderful 3 days together touring this exciting city with the students and Christof. So much things to do...so so little time. Almost all felt that it was really too short. However, I went for 14 days trip in Taiwan and also had exactly the same feeling...so the conclusion is there is just no holidays that is too long.

The famous Tai Sam ba - shopping / eating / sight seeing district

This is my No. 1 favourite activity - Macau Tower Skywalk extreme

High level @ 235m , gusty wind , chilling weather, misty sky, screaming student S behind u (she grabbed 2 safety ropes - no wonder the guide though he saw ghost...) , spending 1 hour out there ans only cost $40...really value for $$ kind of experience.

I am too old to jump off the tower...but glad to see LY/Annie/JT jumped. Ming Hui even jumped TWICE!!!.

Now next is my No. 2 favourite activity = Casino at Rm 623 in the 2nd night. Not that I win $$ from it...but you should listen to the laughters in that 90 mins session.

in the den we have 1 gambler who is afraid of ghost, 1 who gets high even without alcohol, 1 who says $20 instead of 20 points, 1 who play bombay style, 1 who is my all time black jack partner, 1 who is more interested in playing SM, 1 big time gambler who sponsor my casino cost, 1 who run away with my $10 HKD reset and 1 who hide her $$ v v v deep inside her clothing.

So u can imagine what kind of things that can happen during such game. I really had fun.

My 3rd most favourite activity - Go carting!! The Macau track is soooo much better. Wide and spacious and well maintain and also relatively cheap ($20/10mins).

GL is the best among the students,,just finished behind me and Christof, LY the most daring (b4 the crash) chasing me racklessly until the U turn (she went straight...hahahah). And of course who can forget student S - who ends her ride with BIG BANG - TWICE some more!!!Thanks to her, no one thinks I am a horrible driver this time.

I am sure U will have your own favourite acitivities - Like walking 20 mins to the Go cart stadium, getting lost in Taipa bus trip, enjoying the 288 laser light water fountain, casino hopping to look for a cheap black jack table, forgot to lock the airplane toilet door etc etc.

Food wise...i think we all would agree that this is the best

Dear readers, kindly vote for your top 3 activity in Macau and also perhaps let others know why too!! Thanks.

THIS MIGHT BE OUR LUCKY 4D NUMBER

After 5 days of guessing...it's time to move on and announce the lucky person who guess most close to my ang bao money this year.

This is how the calculation goes (check with calculator if you dont trust mine) :

2888 + 100 + 100 (this is the annual savings goes to bank...not anyhow spend one hor)
then there are 75 x 8 = 600 for all of u
then 7 x 4 = 28 for the younger ones
finally 18 x 2 = 36 for Mr Wong 's 2 daughter

Total amount = $3752

A quick check through the entries...v v strange...there is actually v v few who actually guess 37XX.

And the winner is : LSL!!! She guess 3784 which is the closest....congragualtios!!!...U may now try this at the 4D and see if u have the real luck.

2nd prize goes tio HJM - 3699 but no choc as she guessed an odd number...v v blur to even suggest that as a Chinese...no consolation for u.

Now it's your turn to wish me luck...Macau here I come!!!!
